John Frieda's Full Repair range is one of the most loved hair care ranges in the UK. Being the only products on the market containing Inca Inchi Oils (an oil derived from a star-shaped fruit from the Amazon) this range offers the ability to make hair 90% smoother and more manageable after just one use.

Having already purchased John Frieda products before (have you tried the John Frieda Frizz Ease Creme Serum Night? I bloody love it) I trialed the above products I knew I was onto a winner. I like John Frieda products and trust that they'll do my hair good. I don't have the healthiest relationship with my hair right now though - I've put it through a lot whilst I haven't had much time for grooming recently, including (but not limited to): dying it different colours, using heat for days in a row, using no heat at all for weeks at a time, not brushing it, shoving dry shampoo in it, leaving conditioners on it for hours at a time, not using conditioner at all for weeks at a time, washing it twice a day and then not washing it at all for days. I've put my hair through it's paces and in the end all I want is to get it all cut off because I've had enough of it. Recently, because of time and my lack of commitment to making an effort, when I'm getting up in the morning it inevitably ends up shoved into a messy bun, scraped off my face and left to do it's own thing.

A couple of weeks ago I decided that I had better start looking after it properly- especially because the weather here in the UK is scorching hot and my hair is now resembling the straw-like texture that I fought so hard to get rid of when I was a teenager. Step forward the John Frieda Full Repair Range, which has been a lifesaver for my locks.

The packaging is very recognizable to bloggers and beauty enthusiasts everywhere so I won't spend too much time lingering on the details. The scent of each product is lovely and very summery. When I first tried the John Frieda Full Repair Deep Repair Conditioner I wrote a review (way back when I first started blogging - cringe) and in it I specifically mentioned that Dave had told me I smelt like 'holidays'. This is still true but now my hair smells like that all of the time. It's a sweet scent but not sickly, just feminine and subtle.

JOHN FRIEDA FULL REPAIR HYDRATE + RESCUE SHAMPOO
So, a shampoo that costs over £1? In my bathroom? I didn't think that would ever happen to be honest. I'll say it before and I'll say it again: I think that pennies should be spent on conditioners. However, maybe I've been wrong about that... I've always had to double shampoo whenever I've washed my hair before. I like the squeaky clean feeling a double shampoo gives and I like knowing my hair is completely cleansed.

With the John Frieda Full Repair Hydrate + Rescue Shampoo I don't need to double shampoo because I get the results I like with one cleanse. On top of this it doesn't leave my hair feeling stripped like other shampoos do and the scent is, as mentioned before, lovely.

Using this shampoo feels a lot more economical, as I don't need as much on my thick hair, and I love the feeling of luxury that I get from using something that hasn't come from the bottom shelf of the drugstore. I even caught Dave using it the other day - his opinion is that we should get it in the house all of the time because it's the only thing that can get the dust out of his hair when he's been ripping stud walls down. So masculine.

Ahh, conditioners... A massive love of mine. Out of all the hair products available in the shops and online if I'm in the market for something hair related it's conditioners that I seek out. I've had a little bit of a love-hate relationship with this conditioner before though to be completely honest. The first time I tried it I adored it - hence the first glowing review. The second time was during the middle of winter and I thought it weighed down my hair a bit, although I admit now that with hindsight this could have been the styling products I was using, which I wasn't happy about. Now, however, in this heat especially, it's an absolute god send.

This John Frieda Full Repair Hydrate + Rescue Conditioner is just the thing my lack-lustre hair has been craving in the drying heat of summer. It's perfect for a hit of moisture when I need it most and I'm in a rush. It smoothes and soothes my frizzy waves and curls without effort and leaves a fabulous natural shine to the hair.

The thick white product is easy to manipulate through the hair, starting at my ends and working up. I leave it on for just a couple of minutes whilst I wash my body. It's easy to rinse out and when I style my hair afterwards without other products on top I've noticed just how much sleeker it looks. This is a definite winner.

JOHN FRIEDA FULL REPAIR HYDRATE + RESCUE DEEP CONDITIONER
A lot of people think that conditioners and deep conditioners are simply the same product in different packaging and for some brands this may be the case but not with John Frieda. I've noticed a difference in using the deep conditioner in comparison to the normal conditioner and although I adore both products it's the John Frieda Full Repair Hydrate + Rescue Deep Conditioner that is the star of this particular show for me.

I've followed the instructions and left the deep conditioner on for five minutes but I've also deviated from the rules and left it on for a full hour. It doesn't weigh my hair down, it leaves it looking like pure silk and the improvement in my hair after just one use was blatantly visible.

Even after using heat to straighten my hair it still looked as good as it did after it was freshly washed and the softness lasts for days afterwards. It's hydrated, looks healthy and happy and I feel like I can finally wear my hair down properly without the worry of it looking like a haystack.

Do I recommend these products? Yes, fully. Considering how damaged my hair has been, this product range has saved it from the salon's scissors for the time being.
